The Tartarus Shear (The Lightning War)

Captain Krystian Nowak, who will never stop being his uncle's nephew, takes a new destroyer into the lawless Tartarus sector and finds a warship turned into a crystal tomb. The weapon that did it still works, and the only way to keep it from the people who want it may be an alliance with the enemy.

An untested captain. A ship that breaks the rules of physics. A war that will force him to choose his enemy.

Captain Krystian Nowak’s shakedown cruise aboard the advanced PNS Grunwald turns into a nightmare when he discovers a derelict warship destroyed by an impossible weapon. The trail leads to a doomsday device that can tear reality apart.

Trapped between two warring fleets in a brutal civil war and cut off from all support, Nowak must ally with one enemy to stop another from seizing ultimate power. But in the dark of the Outer Rim, the price of victory may be his soul.

A high-stakes military sci-fi novella you can read in one sitting.
